Mentoring

At Together Enabled Ltd, we provide specialist mentoring for neurodivergent and disabled students, as well as those facing mental health challenges in higher education. Our role is to work alongside students to help them access their studies in ways that respect their individual thinking styles, strengths, and needs.
Every session is centred around respect for the student’s autonomy, lived experiences, and potential. Our approach is student-led and designed to support independence and confidence.

Specialist mentoring reduces learning barriers by:
- supporting students in understanding academic expectations and navigating the higher education environment
- exploring challenges related to study routines, communication, and executive functioning while collaboratively developing tools to address these issues
- developing sustainable strategies for time management, organisation, and workload planning
- assisting with prioritisation and goal setting through careful planning, target-setting, and establishing effective routines that balance academic work with well-being
- encouraging the development of independent learning skills that align with the student’s pace and preferences
- promoting reflective practices to help students identify the strategies that work best for them
- exploring ways to manage overwhelm and maintain engagement during high-pressure periods
- recognising when it may be appropriate to refer students to internal or external services and assisting them in accessing that support if needed
We offer flexible, personalised sessions, creating a supportive space where students can explore which strategies work best for them. Our mentors work with students to build on their existing strengths, helping them navigate their studies with increased confidence and self-awareness.
