Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Statement
Together Enabled Ltd is dedicated to creating fair, respectful, and inclusive environments for all students in UK higher education who receive support from non-medical helpers (NMH).
As a cooperative organisation, we believe that every learner deserves equitable access to education, regardless of neurotype, disability, health, gender identity, race, ethnicity, religion, or background.
We recognise that many students have underrepresented and/or intersecting identities and can face systemic barriers to their learning. While we acknowledge that we cannot dismantle such barriers on our own, we will strive continuously to mitigate their impact – supporting, enabling, and empowering students to navigate higher education with confidence. Our aim is to improve the learning experience for all through inclusive practice and advocacy, working collaboratively with students and institutions.
We are committed to accessibility, inclusive practices, ongoing learning, and empowering students alongside colleagues and partners to feel seen, heard, and supported. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards discrimination, harassment, and bias, and actively challenge unfair practices.
We follow the Equality Act 2010, DSA guidance, and recommendations from Universities UK (UUK) and the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) on inclusive tutoring and safe campus environments.
All staff undergo regular training on Diversity, Equality, Inclusion, and trauma-informed practice.
We ensure that onboarding materials are provided in accessible formats and alternative formats are available on request. We are committed to continuous improvement, legal compliance, and regular policy review to meet the highest standards of inclusion and care.
